Collective Agreements

Your collective agreement sets out your rights and responsibilities at work.  If you have any concerns, please talk to your steward or a member of the executive.

Bylaws

Our bylaws set out the rules for how our local democratically elects our representatives, and how it is run.

Here are the current bylaws:

CUPE 4816 adopted a set of proposed bylaw amendments that were unanimously approved at the Feb 21 2024 GM meeting. The changes are now being reviewed by CUPE National President Mark Hancock. You can view the proposed changes here:

Benefits

Benefits for CUPE 4816 members are provided through Blue Cross.  If you have concerns or feel you have been unreasonably denied benefits and can't get a good answer from the employer, talk to your steward or a member of the executive.

Pensions

Pensions for CUPE 4816 members are provided through the BC Municipal Pension Plan (MPP).  If you have questions or concerns about your eligibility to participate in the plan and can't get a good answer from the employer, talk to your steward or a member of the executive.
